Living Concrete Carrot City

This exhibit was personally quite moving and interestingly enough, had a lot to do with the content of my Design Research Methods class. The focus on the increasing interest of growing food in the city is an active topic especially in New York City. Many of the projects were fascinating and all of them had sustainability in mind in addition to transforming a “wasted” space into a food project. Not only will these projects bring together a city and its community, but we are putting to good use “wasted” space, and literally going green. It is always so nice to see urban agriculture amongst cities of urban landscapes and buildings. This project ultimately displays designed works and concepts that show the potentials for urban projects focusing on food issues.
